Levi glared at her through the corner of his eye without moving his head, "That's none of your business," and sighed, looking back at the sky once more. It was a perfect night, just like the last one he, Isabel, and Farlan had shared together before they were eaten by titans on the 23rd expedition outside the walls. The sky was a dark, rich blue, but not quite black, and the stars illuminated the area around it, giving the atmosphere an unearthy, blue glow. And then, there was the moon - it was the brightest, boldest thing in the night sky, dominating over all of the stars. Levi stared at it, eyes half closed.

"Fine by me. It's not like I cared anyways," Sarafine said, yawning just a moment after she spoke. "Meditator," Sarafine said in a sing-song tone, to fill the rooms sudden silence - but as if that counted as any humour to him, she was sure that he wouldn't laugh at that even if she wanted to. Not to mention, she was also aching to go back to sleep, but her last .. Dream, she supposed .. left her wide awake.

Levi held his head in one hand as he leaned against the bed frame. He glanced at Sarafine, who was wide awake, "Why are you awake? You should get some sleep while you can." He crossed one leg over the other, giving his left temple a massage.
(Hehe Sarafine should ask him what he was meditating about or why he can't sleep or both or something)

(( Got it ! )) Sarafine shrugged. "It's like asking why you're awake." Her gaze shifted back to him, and of course changed the topic back onto meditating. "So, what exactly did you meditate about, anyways?" She paused, she had a few questions to ask the man, and decided to ask it all at once. "And why can't you sleep?" Sure, she had seen him upset while asleep, but its not like it was a reoccurring process, she assumed.

(XDD she's so clueless that its funny) Levi's gaze shifted from the window to Sarafine once she had asked all of the questions on her mind. He didn't want to answer, but then she would nag to him about it constantly, and she knew enough anyways, seeing him... cry. Levi weighed the chances, and decided ttell her, just to make Sarafine be quiet. "While Iwas meditating, iI was trying to cope. Some very good friends of mine have... recently died. Other friends have, too. I can't sleep because I have insomnia," he said curtly, making eye contact with Sarafine once to show that he didn't want her thoughts to linger on the matter.

(( Ikr XD )) "You are interesting beings. Why you care so much about one another, I will never understand." Sarafine said, even if she should be comforting him for his loss, she was just kind of continuing on about it. "Insomnia? Really, that does make some sense." The Cataclyst had thought he looked so peaceful until he - well, starting crying in his slumber, she might not had even expected he had insomnia. But then again, it made all the more sense if she thought about it.

Levi paid attention to none of her comments - he knew they were bound to be rude and annoying, so he just blocked them out. He knew he could have refused to give Sarafine that information, but she would have never shut up about it... she was the only person in the world who knew, except maybe Hanje, but he had never told the scientist straightforwardly. If she tells anyone... "Don't tell anyone," he ordered, knowing that if she told anyone within the walls of his problem, it would ruin his status in the military for sure, and information and news spread like wildfire at base.
(Actually, let's base this about a year after Isabel and Farlan's deaths so that Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are out of the picture. It would make more sense that he's more screwed up now than he is then because then it would be recent, so Petra and his squad are still alive))

(( Kk! Also kinda short, sorry )) "Why should I listen to you?" She asked, more as a statement. "You'll probably have to kill me before I tell anyone." But then again, she thought, he probably would if he had the chance - so a fatal mistake. Sarafine was easy to spit out any information, especially when it's not known, but just mostly because she was used to doing that all the time.

Levi sighed, "Because no one else knows but you." He uncrossed his legs and laid across the bed, staring at the ceiling out of boredom. He glanced toward Sarafine, telling her through his eyes, I'll kill you if you say anything.
(same here, np. I was at church all morning)

"Oh, that's great." Sarafine grinned, but it was hard to tell if it was a honest grin, or a mischievous one. The Cataclyst caught his glance and understood what it meant, and shot him back a kind of 'Try me' type of glare. "But why does it matter if anyone else knows?" She asked suggestively, like she was going to tell someone soon, yet it was just them.

Levi stretched his fingers, making a few popping sounds with his knuckles. "Because the soldiers look up to me, because to them, I'm the only one who can win this war," he said, thinking about those soldiers - Petra, Oruo, Gunther, Erd. Those soldiers especially looked up to Levi, and not because they were in his squad, but they were like friends to him. Whiny, but strong, kind friends. Petra was a good person, and was always trying to make others smile. Oruo liked to imitate Levi in every way, but it showed that he admired the Captain. Gunther was a strong-willed fighting machine, and Erd was the quiet one, but was very speedy in his gear and made clean cuts. Each one meant something to Levi, whether they knew it or not, though Petra had probably already deduced that, she was very intuitive.

"That's adorable." Sarafine said, quietly snickering at the thought. "People? Look up to you? I just can't see it," She added, before glancing back out the window again. It was probably going to be early morning soon - around 2 AM she assumed. Finally, she glanced over at Levi again, still looking unimpressed about the thought of him being looked up to.

Levi glanced at the woman again. "If they were to find out about what happened, they wouldn't see a stronger soldier leading them. They'd see a coward, a fool. And then what would happen to the only corps fighting for humankind's freedom? It would fall apart. They wouldn't fight as hard and the titans would win if the walls were breached," he explained, lifting his head.
