She paused, as if actually thinking about not quipping back at him for a moment, then spoke. "But the problem is, dear, I really don't care." Sarafine said, exaggerating the 'really' to make it have more effect. "Tsssk. It's funny - really. I'm not going to spill your dumb secret to the whole world, you know." The Cataclyst paused, rolling her eyes. "Trust me that much, at least." But those words were definitely hard to trust.

"Tch. Fine," he muttered, turning his head away from the woman. He weaved a hand through his hair, leaving his arm to rest on his pillow. After closing his eyes for a brief moment, he rubbed his eyes, trying to get back to sleep if possible.

She sighed, deciding to get some form of rest before morning, and so she did. Sarafine closed her eyes, leaning back in the chair once again, hoping not to have the presence of a dreamvisitor. The Cataclyst soon fell asleep into a deep slumber, quite oddly. -timeskip- Sarafine woke up, instead of her first awakening, this time peacefully. She sighed, relaxing her shoulders as she stretched. The Cataclyst glanced over at the window, and it seemed it was perfect timing - morning, and not night. Sarafine got up, and turned her gaze to Levi to see if he was awake at all.

Throughout the rest of the night, Levi only slept little more than half an hour before waking up again for no apparent reason. For the remainder, he sat either on his bed or the floor, perpetually bored until he used the key in the morning. When morning eventually came, he watched the gentle sunrise. After the sun was completely over the horizon, Sarafine had started to wake up, and Levi sat up on the bed, waiting for her to say something stupid again. Levi had planned through the night that they would eat breakfast and then use the key to get into wall Rose and to the Scouting Regiment base.

She sighed, turning to the door. "I'll meet you in the lobby." Was all she said, and with that, the Caster went to her room. Sarafine didn't realize it at first - but it seemed her room was cleaner than it was before. She shrugged, getting her boots and putting them on. She finished lacing her boots and headed down the hallway to meet Levi in the lobby. She decided that she would annoy him about cleaning her room later.

Levi nodded, pulling his own boots on, along with his jacket and green cloak. He hooked on his gear and sheaths, and then fingered the wrapped up key in his pocket. After heading down the stairs and eating breakfast with Sarafine, Levi took out the key and laid it on the table, looking to Sarafine. "So, how do you make it work?" he asked the woman, knowing that she would have the solution because of her magical backgrounds.

"Be careful," Sarafine warned, watching the key. "It's as simple as this - the key is bound to a teleportation cast, if you touch a certain part on it, it'll be sure to teleport you there - but it won't be able to teleport back to the previous location." She said, looking at the key, wondering where Angelus might have put the teleportation access.

Levi looked down at the dangerous object before him on the table. It could potentially strand them somewhere - what if Angelus lied about the note, and they weren't sent to wall Rose? Well, Levi thought, it's a risk we'll have to take. "Fine. We can't stay here forever," Levi said, studying the key.

"Well then," Sarafine began, putting her hands on the table. "Just touch it at the same time as me, alright?" She said, reaching to place her hand on the side of the key without his input, and she quickly looked at him to try and hurry him up. This better work.. Sarafine thought, wincing the longer she touched it.

Levi complied and laid his hand out, touching the key with his first two fingers. At once he felt jolted, and he felt like he was racing through the air faster than any time he had used his gear. His hand was glued to the key, along with Sarafine's. Again, he felt a jolting feeling, and then felt as if he was being squeezed through a tube with too much to be squeezed out. Then, once it was over, Levi opened his eyes to see that he was on the ground in a field. Close to them was a dirt road which had carried loaded carriages for years, having indents in the ground where the wheels would be as they were pulled by mule or oxen. Levi lifted his head and stood up, gazing around some more. There were a few trees here and there, but there was no mistaking it - this was definitely the interior of wall Rose. The middle wall was the one mainly used for agriculture, resulting in large open spaces, and crops and livestock around for the whole year. Levi looked down to see Sarafine laying on the ground next to where he himself had landed, and he prodded her with his boot, "Time to get up. We're here."
(I hope that's okay. I just imagined how it would be if it were a portkey, because by your description, they're essentially the same thing)

She flinched when she felt Levi's boot, after a long pause got up. "Wow - I haven't done that in forever," Sarafine said, then looked at her surroundings. She had no clue where they were - but it seemed Levi did, so she just went with that. "So, where exactly are we?" The Cataclyst asked, assuming that their were probably titans nearby if they were in Levi's universe. Wow - it felt odd thinking that they were from entirely different universes.

Levi watched her get up, and answered her question. "We're inside Wall Rose. Right now we're next to a road that leads east to the Scouting Regiment base, which is where we need to be as soon as possible. On foot, since we have no horses, we'll probably get there around..." Levi glanced at the sun and calculated the general time, "two-thirty." He started walking down the road, seeing no caravans or carriages in sight. He wished he could have been able to use his gear, but they were nowhere near a forest with tall trees, and nor would they pass through one. Otherwise, they would have been back at base within two hours. But alas, it would take six.
(well, it would take six assuming the time is 8:00 in the morning so)

She nodded, following after Levi. "Huh - alright then." The Cataclyst couldn't help but continue to glance around as they walked down the road. It was nothing like Gatlin - like, at all. But then again, the different universes theory struck her. If that meant she was in a completely different universe, she began wondering how she would leave this place - she had work to get to, anyways, but none that concerned Levi, so she didn't mention of it. "Two thirty? Do you even know what time it is?"

He glanced up at the taller woman, "Yes, it's about eight-thirty." Levi looked back in front of him, gazing up at the sky. Even though it had been almost two years since he had last been in the Underground District of Stohess, it still felt strange looking up at the sky and expecting to see the ceiling of a huge cavern filled with green glowworms and bats. Instead, he was free, as free as the doves that flew across the now blue horizon, their white coats reflecting the golden sun as they soared.

"Huh. Interesting." She mumbled, continuing to walk down the road. "So you know, this is great and all, but are you certain it's going to talk that long?" It was barely a few minutes in, and she was already complaining - and it would probably only get worst as they walked further, and as the hour increased, so would her complaints.
