(cool)
Levi's eyes moved under his eyelids as he slumbered in REM sleep, his mind wandering its possibilities. In his dreams, he was in his old house in Stohess, but it was clean and orderly; nothing was broken, the roof was intact, and it looked like a regular house from the surface. Everything was a bright shade of color, maybe pastel, and very pale. The only thing that had more radiant color than the surrounding objects of his childhood home was sitting on the bed- his mother. Kutchel Ackerman sat on the bed closest to the window with a white dress on, and her raven black hair framing her beautiful, angular face. Her gray eyes glittered in the white light and she produced a genuine smile; she looked very happy.
"Hi, Mom."
She patted the spot next to her on the bed to sit and held out her arms as he inevitably came closer, unable to stop his feet. Levi sat down next to his mother and enveloped her in a tight hug, resting his head on her shoulder. A lump in his throat formed in yearning; he missed her with his whole heart and just wanted to stay in this titan-free world with her forever. He burrowed his face into her soft hair, the sweet scent of roses and morning dew greeting his senses. She was the woman who gave him life; nurtured him, fed him, clothed him, kept him alive even in the worst circumstances; and she was right there as if she had always been there, happy to see him and giving her all to keep them both together.
With a sharp intake of breath through his nose, Levi said with a hoarse voice, muffled by her hair, "I miss you so much." As a response, Kutchel rubbed his back, making Levi feel much more calm and at peace. He loosened his grip around her sides and just leaned on her, cherishing the moment of serenity.
"I love you, Mom."
"I love you too, Levi."
And with the short exchange of words between the two, Levi opened his eyes and looked at his mother's ghostly white face before it all dissolved into light, disappearing before his eyes. Back in his cabin while sitting in his chair, Levi awoke slowly, blinking the sleep out of his eyes and staring at the ceiling; that was one of the times Levi liked his dreams but wished he hadn't had them because they made him feel very depressed; it made him miss everyone he had lost even more. With his usual gaze, he sighed, and closed his eyes again to try and get some more sleep.

( *SCREEEEEEEEEEEEE* )
- Timeskip - Sarafine hadn't got a blink of sleep since she decided to have stayed awake most of the night - not wanting to relive that moment, alive or dream version, either way. She blinked, still sitting down in the same chair, eyes half open. Her eyes were bloodshot, and it was enough to distract anyone from the Dark eyecolor if even for a moment. Though she still didn't get up; even with the alarming brightness of the room, or the splinters of sunlight gathering - her head was still hanging forwards, but she definitely wasn't asleep.

Levi had been awake for some time, probably since midnight. He had continued reading the book and was about halfway done, but then stopped to clean to bide his time. He had made his room as clean and orderly as it could possibly get while in candlelight; dusting the bookshelf, placing all of the books straight and neatly on the shelf in alphabetical order, cleaning out and folding his clothes, folding his dirty clothes, mending the candle, making his bed, and cleaning his other possessions. For the later half of his sleepless night, Levi just sat in his chair, looking out the window at the moon. He enjoyed gazing at it for its mysteriousness; he didn't like being vain and just watching the moon for its beauty, though it was handsome. Soon the sun had started to make a soft, barely noticeable orange glow at the edge of the horizon. Levi decided he would start to get himself ready for the day, so he went into his bathroom and brushed his hair and washed his face. With half-closed eyes, he exited his room and walked down the hall, intending to reach the stables in a few minutes, for he wanted to take his horse on a well-needed ride through the forest.

She had eventually trailed over to the bed, then went to lay down on it, looking up at the ceiling absentmindedly. Sarafine was wasting time, indeed, but she wanted to go to sleep, but didn't - it was a confusing feeling in general. Grumbling something completely incoherent under her breath, she ran her hands through her hair - and it even still looked windswept, as it usually did. It wasn't like she cared if it was morning or still night; which it was in fact morning, but she had nothing to prepare for in general, as she usually would have back in Gatlin. So, deciding to finally let go, she rested her hands on her forehead and fell asleep with a last painful look. But sleep never came.

Levi walked to the left, down the stairs, and out the front doors and to the stables, where he found his horse, as always, kept in his stall. His name was Bo, and he was a black stallion with a white diamond on his forehead and socks on his hooves. He wasn't the most muscular horse in the stables (but Erwin's probably was) because Levi wasn't that heavy compared to some other men in the Corps. He let Bo outside and saddled him up, heaving himself onto his back with little effort. He rode him out and down a dirt path that went through the wooded area around the base. By now the sun was a little more above the horizon, but not fully, so thick, amber light gushed through the leaves and caused everything to look like gold, with beams of light bouncing through the leaves and down to the forest floor. Combined with the cool, crisp, morning air, it was the perfect way to start a day. Levi took in the scenery and sighed, the memories of the last night haunting him.

She might have been laying there for the past 10 minutes - no, she definitely did. And she finally decided to get up after letting out a quick yawn, she stretched. She would just have to catch up on sleep later tonight, Sarafine supposed, and bent down to tie her boots. After doing so, she quickly longed for sitting down and staring at nothingness, but instead made herself go into the hallway. Sleep wasn't one of her top priorities, like, ever, but it still helped. And of course, knowing she woke up late, it was revealed even when she looked out the windows - yet she almost noticed a little tint of dark grey in the sky, but continued on. Continuing her per say journey, she came outside to be greeted with the immensely bright sun - a slight breeze, too. Glancing over at a stray tree, she took the opportunity and slowly bounded over to it, before resting against the trunk. It was more the .. reminder, that bothered her, likewise the painfully red eyes. The loss of sleep - well, that wasn't as bad as the two. (( *shakes sarafine violently* WAKE UP ))

Levi rode on with Bo, eventually turning back on the trail and heading for home after about half an hour, give or take. Bo's hooves clopped upon the trodden soil, dodging roots and avoiding stones. By the time they arrived back at base, the sun was enough above the horizon to offer normal sunlight. Squinting his eyes, Levi slid off of Bo and led him to the stables again, where he unsaddled, fed, and groomed him. Once he was finished taking care of his horse, Levi exited the stables (avoiding a rather large shovel-full of horse manure) and glanced up at the sky to see a few geese flying in a 'v' shape. As he looked down, his eye caught the sight of a woman sleeping under a tree. His dark-circled eyes watched her for a moment before walking over and nudging her gently with his hand on her shoulder.

She looked up at whomever was nudging her awake with half-opened slitted eyes the color of blood and yellow. "What?!" The Cataclyst snapped out of reflex, then rose up from where she had been sitting previously, only then realizing it was Levi. "Oh. Hi, Levi." Sarafine greeted, leaning an arm on the tree, not even wondering how long he had been around here. "How're you doin'?" She said, as casually as if she had never even been attempting to sleep underneath this tree seconds before.

Levi released his grip on her shoulder and pulled his arm away, gazing up at her. She had dark circles under her eyes, not unlike his own, except his were more intimidating. Her hair was a mess, and her eyes were also bloodshot. "Fine," he said with an almost menacing tone, "but you should go to bed if you thought it was a good idea to stay up late, you look terrible."

Continuing on leaning against the tree, she scoffed. "Are you always so stupid or is today a special occasion? I never wanted to stay up late," Sarafine growled, running a quick hand through her hair as she glared him right in the eye. "Or maybe it's just typical of you. Who knows. Besides- have you looked in a mirror lately?"

Levi scoffed at her comeback, which was quite good. "I didn't want to stay up late, either," he growled, "and yes, I have, moron, now get your big ass up and heave it to your room and rest." Clearly, she couldn't see what state of mind that Levi was in; he cared that she was well rested because they still had to find a way to get her back to her own world. They had no idea where to start to look for a portal, and it probably wouldn't be labeled like the last one, that was in Angelus' closet.

Sarafine narrowed her eyes. Sleep sounded good - but she was mildly offended! "As I said, utterly stupid." She mumbled under her breath as she brushed past him, just loud enough so he could hear though, and continued walking back towards the entrance. Going inside, she already began going towards the direction of the hallway; not even looking back, still growling things incoherently, her gaze settled forwards.

Levi muttered back as she passed by, "Damn idiot." He waited for her to walk away some more, but he was just waiting for her to turn around with another retort. Knowing Sarafine, it wouldn't be long.
(sorry it's so short, just dialogue stuff)

"Speak for yourself," Sarafine called out to him, and turned forwards on her heel, continuing her walk to her designated room. Once she got there, she almost immediately collapsed onto her bed, (as per usual, not taking her boots off) and fell into a quick slumber. **Timeskip** Sarafine woke up after sleeping for a decent amount of time, and sighed, glancing over at the window. It was around early noon, it appeared, and so she rose from where she was laying. Quickly, she ran her hands throughout her hair just in case; so she wouldn't get any particularly snide remarks from Levi this time. After doing so, she exited the room, coming into the hallway; assuming he would be somewhere around.

After lunch, Levi had left the mess hall and had started to walk to where his office was at the other side of the base. On his way there, he passed by his and Sarafine's rooms, only to see her exiting her own. With a huff, the captain walked on by, hoping she wouldn't say anything stupid; the last thing that he needed was a distraction from completing his work for the day, which was a particularly thick stack of papers.
